I've had the new iPod Touch for just over a week, and I love it. I was debating about whether to get the 32 GB or the 64 GB, and I'm glad I went for the 64.

I had a 8GB Nano that I used almost every day, but I was sick of having to delete songs every time I wanted to add some new ones. Now I definitely won't be running out of space. It's not only music, though. The app store is amazing! There are so many games and other apps you can download, and it seems that most of them have free "lite" versions to try out before (or instead of) buying.

I also have an old Dell Axim Pocket PC that I will still use for some things, but for for checking email and internet browsing away from my computer I'll definitely use the iPod Touch. Its WiFi is much faster than the Axim.

I also read ebooks on my Pocket PC, but I think I'll be doing that all on the iPod from now on. The iPod Touch screen is about the same size as a PDA screen. I know some people feel that it's too small for reading books, but it doesn't bother me. If you like to read ebooks, Stanza is a great (free) app for the iPod Touch, there are a few other ebook readers for iPod that you can check out. You can even get an app from Amazon to read Kindle books without having a Kindle, which is great.

One accessory I'm glad I got in advance was a case that came with a screen protector. As soon as I peeled back the plastic from the brand-new iPod screen, I put down the screen protector. I know from experience with my PDA how annoying it can be to try to clean the screen well enough to put on a screen protector after you've been touching the screen.

One accessory I wish I'd gotten in advance is a charger. I don't like having to connect to the computer just to charge the iPod, and the charger I bought for my Nano doesn't work with the iPod Touch. You can find them cheap ($5-$10) online, and had I known I'd need a new one, I would have ordered it in advance.

Even though it's expensive, with all of the music, movies, tv shows, free lectures from iTunes U, ebooks, games and miscellaneous apps, I'm glad I got the extra space with the 64GB.
